The Hong Kong Institute for the Humanities and Social Sciences (IHSS) aspires to be a leading center for innovative, multidisciplinary, and interdisciplinary research and teaching focused on China. It aims to foster a dynamic scholarly community that critically examines the multifaceted nature of Chinese civilization and its long developmental history, employing both traditional and contemporary approaches to advance understanding and dialogue.
